Lambda

Linxtelecom’s Lambda Service is a high-speed, managed, international network capacity service, uniquely for Carriers. It is a dedicated, unprotected point-to-point DWDM circuit that provides a clear transmission channel. Lambdas can be provisioned between two DWDM Points of Presence (PoP-PoP) on Linxtelecom’s network, for instance between Stockholm and Tallinn. The standard transmission speeds are 2.5 and 10 Gbps. In contrast with IPL Services, the Lambda Service does not include SDH framing, synchronization or protection.

The Lambda Service may also be provided as an End-to-End Service, extending the Lambda PoP-PoP Service to one or more Customer PoPs. The End-to-End Service is implemented by connecting a Customer Site to the nearest DWDM PoP on Linxtelecom’s network via the dark fiber local access facilities of a pre-selected local access provider.
