Linxtelecom Latvia now connected to SMILE (Santa Monica Internet Local Exchange)

20 May 2010 - Linxtelecom Latvia is now connected to the Santa Monica Internet Local Exchange (SMILE), located in the Riga TV Tower, Zakusala Krastmala. As a result, more direct access to certain customer routes could be established so that lower latency to this segment of Latvian hosts is now achieved.

Linxtelecom is already a member of the public Latvian Internet Exchange (www.lix.lv) run by Lattelekom, Telia and Latnet and provides IP Transit services to a number of Latvian ISPs. Linxtelecom also provides Direct Internet Access services to many Latvian enterprise customers. The new SMILE membership will improve the quality of these services.
